Now the truth can be told...
...a few weeks ago, after much intercat sniffing and posturing, we opened the gate and let Glory mix with Charger at will.
We were worried, but also felt it was the right time. After a few sleepless nights (well, you try sleeping with cats playing Top Gun over the bed and on the ceiling), eventually things calmed down. Glory has gotten a few Gen X makeovers (a pierced nose and some ear tattoos) but nothing serious; Charger is unchanged, except that he is more apt to chase Glory than before. But now when they catch each other, nothing really happens..they're just playing.
Yesterday, I saw them sniffing nose-to-nose, and I've even caught them in the closet sleeping together (or at least, sleeping on separate pillows only 15 inches apart). And they're taking turns on our bed at night.
